My experience as a Phi Psi is quite extensive.  I was one of the original colony members, and ended up being the chartering President for our Chapter.  After my term as President of our Chapter, I was elected as President of the Interfraternity Council where I served as the leader of our male Greek body until I resigned because I needed to focus on my grades and other priorities.  During my time as a Phi Psi I was the social chairman, recruitment chairman, our first risk manager, and even Chaplain for a semester. I was vigorously involved with the chapter as I did all in my power to help it grow as we started from the roots. Eventually I graduated with a degree in Construction Management and a minor in Business Administration.  I obtained a job when I graduated and today I still work for Hunt Constructio located in San Antonio, Texas whereas we are currently building a $350,000,000 expansion onto the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.  I should be here for one more calendar year, after that I am not exactly sure where they will be sending me. I am proud of this chapter and cannot wait to see how it grows!!

I am an original member of the Indiana Iota chapter.  I was the first elected Vice President of the chapter and worked on the committee structure, creation of committees (splitting Philanthropy/Comm. Service, Fundraising, Intramurals, Brotherhood, Special Events, Apparel, Etc.), typing the bylaws and cleaning them up from a National Template with 3 other chapter brothers, and the colony accreditation packet to get us chartered which broke a national record for colony with no history/original alumni to become a chapter (9 months).  After we were chartered, I became the first chartering president and helped us at the time increase our recruitment numbers and GPA.  I also worked with campus staff and other presidents to make sure that they knew Phi Psi was a thing, something we struggled with in our rush to become a chapter.  After my term as president I became an average member, but planned a diversity panel with Spectrum and formal to Lexington, KY.  I’m also the guy that sat in the back and made jokes during chapter. Currently I am working my dream job with Phi Kappa Psi as an Associate Director of Chapter Services, Special Projects.  I get to aid several of our chapters and help them grow in recruitment.  I specifically work on a program called Pledge Smart, Keep Smart, which is a recruitment scholarship program.  I graduated with a degree in General Studies because I will eventually go back to school to get my masters in Student Affairs. Phi Psi had such an impact on me that it made me want to make an impact on other undergraduates' lives.  I want to work with undergraduates and help them become the best versions of themselves in whatever they want to excel in. I am excited to see what this chapter has in store in the upcoming years!
